Project Description
The project concerns the construction of a new two-story energy- efficient private residence with a basement, constructed by using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) by Quad-Lock, at Agia Paraskevi, Athens.
The building is highly energy efficient and classified into energy class A+, while it maintains a constant temperature within the residence throughout during the year.
The complete construction of the residence took only five months.
The difficulty lied on the small area of the plot and also the fact that we had to “stick” the building to both, right and left, sides of the plot.
The ground floor accommodates an open plan space for the daily use of the family, the living room, the kitchen and the dining room and a W.C. The first floor accommodates the master room of the couple with a spacious walking closet, the children’s room and a spacious bathroom. At the basement, a special place for music studio was designed and constructed according to the soundproof specifications imposed. Also, there is a parking space and a mechanical installation room. The main staircase of the building starts from the basement and ends on the rooftop, where a pergola is constructed and a BBQ to enjoy the spectacular view towards Penteli Mountain.
